Sonoma Coast Trip - Northern California & Bay Area

05/08/2000 to 05/09/2000

Since we love the coast we decided to see some of San Francisco and the coast north of there.

Alcatraz has always been on our list so we took the opportunity to boat out to it and see just what it looks like now.

The we headed up the coast along winding coast highway to see the sights.

And since we were in Sonoma County we stopped for a couple of wine tastings.

Funny how few pictures we have of this trip - the difference between film and digital.

We took the boat out to Alcatraz, did a tour, and then wandered around by ourselves

California Coastline, Fort Ross and a Little Wine 05/09/2000

Driving up the coast - well it is just beautiful. So many great rolling hills, crashing waves and beautiful plants hugging the hills.

We did a little stop at Fort Ross - nice that it still has it's Russian history. And then a couple wineries before heading home.
